Be honest, how high is your motivation to revise right now? Pretty low? Thought so. There's kind of been mixed opinions around whether music is actually beneficial to revision, some people saying they can't revise without it, and some saying it's total crap. In my opinion, however, I feel as though you should do what's best for you. If music helps your stress levels, if it makes the time go quicker and focuses you more, then go ahead, what's stopping you. So I've put together a playlist with what I think are the perfect songs to get you in the zone, in the books and most importantly, out of stress. Don't worry, I'm not gonna go through each and every song otherwise this would a) turn into a novel and b) you'd most likely get bored by song 5. So that's why this post is a bit shorter than normal because I want the main focus to be on the music and not what I say about it lol. The playlist will be linked at the end, so go, enjoy and ...
So we're about a week into GCSE season, and the nostalgia is very much kicking in for me. This time last year, my brain was mush, my sleeping pattern was wrecked and my social life was non existent (not that it was existent in the first place). But stress took over, the stress of getting the grades I needed, making sure I revised enough and that I actually knew what the question meant. So that's why I've compiled my top stress managing tips that I would highly recommend, even though they'll most likely last a day :) SET REALISTIC GOALS / TAKE REGULAR BREAKS Nobody can revise 6 subjects, 100 topics, 25 poems and read 3 books in one night, it just ain't possible, no matter how hard you try. That's why you need to be sensible and set realistic revision goals that you and most importantly your brain can handle.  Something I've mentioned before, and yes I'm gonna mention it again...a revision timetable. Did you guess it? Have you ma...
I can’t get my head around the fact that it has been a YEAR since I did my GCSEs. The time has gone so quick, too quick in fact. And now I’m seeing all todays year 11s going through what I went through last year, and I’m gonna be honest, it’s a great feeling to know that you don’t have to go through it all again (sorry not sorry). So for all you doing your GCSEs within literally a couple of days, I’m going to share some last minute revision tips that will genuinely help you do relatively (said lightly) well in the exams. STOP HIGHLIGHTING  I know, I know, we all love a colourful revision resource that’s pleasing to stare at for hours, but does it genuinely help? We all spend too much time writing, highlighting and making everything look perfect, when in reality, it’s most likely going to end up in the bin a few weeks.  So cut back on the colour (never thought I’d say that), focus on learning the contents and not making it look like Picasso :)  DON’T CRAM ALL ...
Month 4, still going strong. However, this month, not a lot tickled my fancy if I'm honest, there were quite a few releases, but not a lot that wowed me. What a positive start to this post eh lol, moving onto the music I DID like this month, and woah were there some bangers, you ready?... I have to start with the comeback queen. This woman has been through the wars and somehow seems to do a pretty successful comeback each time. This is her first bit of new music in 3 years, and what a tune it is... Tulisa has had a rocky solo career, from success with 'Young' and being a judge on The X Factor for 2 years, to THAT court case, not a lot of people would've come out the other side. But she did and she's still here. I literally only found out about her comeback and this song from Rylan on Twitter the day before it was gonna be released, and I freaked. Just for the fact that it was so unexpected and I had no clue that she was coming back, but I'm glad she ...
