GET TO KNOW ME IN 20 RANDOM QUESTIONS

I've been doing this blogging malarkey for around a year and a half now, and I feel like it's time for you all to get to know me a little better.

I'm not the most interesting person in the world to be honest, but maybe I'll seem interesting after answering these questions...potentially. So I've scoured the internet and put together 20 random questions together, that will give you an insight into the kind of person I am. I've tried to make this as exciting and interesting as possible, so here goes...

1. What's the first thing you notice about people?

The first thing I notice about people is actually their personality. I know a lot of people will say they'll notice a feature first, but I'm quite personality driven. How you approach me and the first few things you say to me will give me an insight into who you are and if I'll get along with you or not, so no pressure haha.

2. What is your eye colour?

Blue. Used to be very blue when I was younger, but now a slight bit of green is creeping in and they're starting to turn slightly turquoise.

3. Do you have any siblings?

Yep, an older brother, and there's 8 years between us.

4. When was the last time you cried?

Watching Casualty a few days ago. Gets me every time.

5. What was your favourite and worst subject a school?

I mean, I'm gonna be honest, I never really had a favourite subject at school. However, the one I was best at grades wise was English. We had a pretty decent teacher who made the lessons quite interesting and engaging.

As for worst, well, there's a few. Anything science or maths. For some reason I ended up being in top set science, meaning I had to do separate science, and also top set maths. How that happened, I really don't know, because I'm quite atrocious at both.

6. Are you an introvert or an extrovert?

I guess I'm a bit of both. I do prefer to stay at home, watch TV and chill, but if I'm out with friends for a meal, or just out out, I do enjoy it. But I do prefer staying at home, so I guess you could call me an introvert? Yet when I'm out, I'm OUT, do you know what I mean? I think I'll stick with half and half.

7. What was your favourite TV show as a child, and what is it now?

As a child, for a while I was obsessed with Horrid Henry. I had the books, the toys, the box sets, I was fully invested. I also loved the classic Disney Channel shows like Wizards of Waverley Place, Shake It Up, Good Luck Charlie, Jessie, the list could go on. Adding to that, I was a massive Doctor Who and Sarah Jane fan, and still am to this day. My walls were packed with Doctor Who posters, and I had mountains of figures and play sets (which I still have).

As for today, I'm still a massive Doctor Who and Sarah Jane fan, so that hasn't changed. I've added Torchwood to the list, as I watched that recently. Other than Doctor Who, I'm a big reality fan, like Strictly Come Dancing, X Factor, Masterchef, anything like that I love. Comedies are also a big fave, like Miranda, Mrs Brown's Boys, Bad Education, Friday Night Dinner. Yeah I like a lot of TV.

8. What is your biggest fear?

I wouldn't say I have one really stand out fear, it's just ended up being a lot of things I 'don't like'. I'm really not too keen on insects. Anything from flies, spiders, bees, wasps, you name it, I'll probably not like it. They all really, REALLY creep me out.

9. If you could choose to do anything for a day, what would it be?

This is a bit out there, but I'd love to act in a big action thriller TV show for a day. I've always loved acting ever since I was young, so getting to do that would be the dream.

10. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

A LOT. I have a very sarcastic sense of humour, which is kind of a love or hate it thing with people. You either get my sense of humour or not, there's no in-between.

11. If you were another person, would you be friends with yourself?

I don't really know is the straight up answer to this. I feel like if you understand my humour and personality, I'm quite an easy person to get along with, so maybe I would be friends with myself? I'd give it a good go at least haha.

12. What are your favourite smells?

There's quite a mix of smells that I really like. Anything fresh, like a clean cotton scent, also plain and simple vanilla I love. The smell of coffee, or just a cafe in general is such a comforting scent for me. Finally, the smell of new books, like a book shop or library, is that weird?

13. Would you rather win the lottery, or work at the perfect job and why?

Work at the perfect job, I'd choose that any day. Not saying that there's anything wrong with winning the lottery, but personally I've always had a vision of myself working in my dream job and career, and I'd just love to do what I love, be busy and earn my own money. But of course, who wouldn't say no to winning the lottery?

14. Morning or evening person?

Evening person. If you read my '18 things I've learned in 18 years' post, I actually mention this on there. I can easily stay up past midnight, but having to get up before 8am, now that's pushing it haha.

15. Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without?

Music. I listen to music everyday. When I'm happy, sad, angry, no matter what mood I'm in, I'll always end up listening to music. It really calms me down, and gives me time to just be with myself and in my own thoughts for a while. I really don't know what I'd do without it if I'm honest.

16. What's your favourite music genre & artist?

Quite a seamless transition from the last question haha. My fave genre would have to be your generic pop, with a bit of dance, electronic and r&b thrown in there. As for fave artist, it would have to be Little Mix. I've supported them ever since they won The X Factor 9 years ago, and I'll continue to for as long as they're together. Literally the bond they have as a group is so rare, and the love they have for their fans in incredible, so yeah they're my faves.

17. What is the first thing you do in the morning?

I know this is really bad, and I need to stop doing it, but I always check my phone as soon as I wake up. Check my notifications, check social media, and then I'll get up. I am trying to steer myself away from doing that as much as I can. Key word being 'trying'.

18. If you could eliminate one weakness or limitation in your life, what would it be?

How easily annoyed I get. I end up getting annoyed at the smallest things, and I work myself up too much, which I need to reign in. I think it's because I'm such a perfectionist, that if I don't like something, I get annoyed at it, or if someone does something I don't like, I also get annoyed. It's like one constant cycle.

19. You're wearing a fragrance, what is it?

So if I'm going out during the day, whether it be shopping or seeing friends, I wear the Lynx daily fragrance in oud wood & dark vanilla. As I previously said, I LOVE vanilla scents, and this fragrance, even though it's only £6, it does last a while. I mean, you do have to spray quite a bit for it to last a while, but I would really recommend it.

As for the night, if I'm going out for a meal, seeing family/friends at night and getting dressed up, I wear Paco Rabanne 1 million. I LOVE this scent, and it's probably my favourite fragrance. If you haven't tried it, go a smell it, it's amazing!

20. If you could eat lunch with 4 celebrities, who would they be?

Oooo, this is quite a hard one. I'd probably have to go with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, because I love them on This Morning, and I think we'd have a laugh together. Next, I'd probably pick Stacey Dooley, if you don't know who she is, look her up. She won Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, and has been presenting documentaries for about 10 years, and I'd love to hear about everything she's seen and experienced, and she's also absolutely hilarious. Finally, I'd probably pick someone like Gordon Ramsey or Jamie Oliver so they could pick us a nice restaurant and critique the food, and also teach me how to cook haha.

There we are! I hope this post allowed you to get to know me a little better. I have plans to maybe do more of these but with different styles of questions? Let me know if you'd like that ↓

Until next time...

  3. What a fun way to get to know you better! I love the unique quality to so many of these questions as well. I feel like it can be tough to understand a person when the questions are generic, but these dove into the more intriguing subjects! Also, side note: I ADORE Little Mix. They're freaking amazing in every way!
